What's New on Long Island...
Friends of LIMSAT
LIMSAT will be Long Island, New York's "hands-on" science and technology
museum - similar to hundreds of such places throughout the world. It will
be big and first-rate and we and our children will enjoy it, learn from
it, and be proud of it.
Save the Sound
How many kinds of Long Island Sound wild life can you name? Save the
Sound brings its many educational activities and environmental
programs to the Web. Test your knowledge of Long Island Sound, learn
about beach clean-ups in your area, write to congress about
legislative issues affecting the Sound, volunteer to monitor pollution
levels in your harbor and explore the animals and plant life of this
national treasure. Teachers and parents, find out how you can make
learning about the environment fun for kids too!

Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium
Continuing the tradition of exploration pursued by its founder, William K.
Vanderbilt II, the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport, Long Island, New York
is proud to announce its presence on the Web. The site creates an
opportunity for people from all over the globe to visit and get a feel for
what the Museum has been providing to its visitors since its inception in
1950. Visitors to the site can take a virtual tour of the museum, and
sample some of its wealth of treasures online.
How Come?
Discussing subjects related to, but not restricted to happenings on Long
Island, our Andy Rooney wannabe of the Web will pose that age old question
that keeps people wondering, keeps comedians in business, and never really
gets answered...How Come?
